Sorry for being so behind these past few weeks, but I thought I’d catch everything up today. Here, you’ll find episodes 12 and 13 (Gamer and 9, respectively). Unfortunately, due to some more technical problems, we lost most of episode 13, however, our review of 9 remained intact. You’ll find both links below and remember to enter your email address if you need a new download link.

After a few weeks of technical difficulties, we’re back. Unfortunately, Episode 10, our review of Orphan, was lost, so if you didn’t listen live, we both hated it. Big surprise, right? Anyway, here’s a recap episode with all the stuff we missed in the past few weeks plus a review of The Final Destination 3-D. We hope you missed us as much as we missed you.

In this week’s episode, Mike and I briefly discussed TrailersFromHell.com, a site that features old-school movie trailers with commentary from a large pool of filmmakers including Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz), John Landis (Animal House, The Blues Brothers) and Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel). It’s really fascinating to hear these filmmakers dissect the trailers for all kinds of classic films, so definitely check this site out.

This week, since (500) Days of Summer was not playing anywhere near us, we decided to review Duncan Jones’s sci-fi flick, Moon, starring Sam Rockwell. Also, since we had a little extra time, we included a mini review of The Hurt Locker. Check it out.

When Jeff Goldblum isn’t busy running from dinosaurs, saving the planet from hostile aliens, or plummeting off the sides of cliffs, he likes to record drunk videos. Well, not really. Someone took an old Apple ad Goldblum did and slowed it down significantly. From what I’ve heard, this is an old video, but regardless, it’s funny as hell. There are a few others that can be found if you Youtube them.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love the movie Point Break. There’s just something about the combination of acting legends, Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze, with extreme, adrenaline-fueled sports, bank robbing, and plenty of mystic surfer wisdom.
The following scene includes one of the greatest lines the movie right before Special Agent Johnny Utah (Keanu) gets beaten to a pulp by some skinhead surfers:
Anyway, he doesn’t back off and subsequently, he and his four buddies get taken down by Utah and Bodhi (Swayze).
I was searching the web today and came across the Point Break message board on IMDb. Lucky for me (and you), someone created a list of the top 10 reasons why Warchild really should’ve taken Bodhi’s advice:
10. He only lived to get radical.
9. He thought he was part of some sort of death squad.
8. He was a Nazi Asshole.
7. He and his cohorts lost a fight when it was 4-2 in their favor.
6. He was dumb enough to go to Fort Fuckin’ Lauderdale in the summer.
5. He was into some bad shit.
4. His brain was wired wrong.
3. Chances are if your name is Lupton Pittman, you’re likely a geek.
2. He was a squid brain.
1. Bodhi was serious, that’s why he said “seriously.”
Obviously, it helps if you’ve seen the movie. If you haven’t, you need to Netflix it immediately. Don’t miss out on one of the best action movies of our time.
I love Patton Oswalt as a comedian, but by the looks of this trailer, it appears he’s going to ‘wow’ me again. I’ve never thought of him as a serious performer, but I’m always a fan of comedic actors testing their range by breaking out of their mold and doing something new. I don’t know about you, but I smell a tear jerker here.

We had some technical difficulties this week and, unfortunately, most of the episode was lost (unless you listened live). The good news is we were able to salvage our review of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, so enjoy this shortened episode and hopefully things will run more smoothly for our next episode.

I’d like to say that I’m excited for this movie. All of the trailers for Michael Bay’s films look amazing, albeit a little cheesy at times, but hey, who doesn’t love a little cheese with their action? Unfortunately, Bay crosses the line from fun action to just plain shit. I have little to no hope left for him or this movie.

What do you get when you cross the movie Saw with the jingle from a Mentos commercial? Something pretty fucking awesome. Personally, I think this commercial is way more effective.

Yesterday, Jon Hamm and January Jones (aka, Don and Betty Draper) were photographed on the set of Mad Men which is set to come back to TV for its 3rd season on August 16th. That’s only 65 days until the non-stop drinking, smoking, and misogyny begins, but who’s counting? (via PopSugar)

If someone were to actually attach balloons to their house in order to lift it off the ground, it would take a whole lot of balloons. Actually, it would take anywhere between 100,000 and 23.5 million balloons. Check it out.

Here we go, guys. Sorry this took so long to go up. I got sidetracked over the weekend. Fortunately, the audio is a little better than our last episode. That hum in the background is pretty much gone, so enjoy the second episode of Viewer Discretion where Mike and I review Drag Me to Hell with minimal sound issues. You’ll find the link below:
